Snorkeling in Grenada

Water everywhere, let's have a look what's beneath the surface. We have seen many articles about the underwater sculpture park, so we were keen to see it ourselfs.
We booked a three hour trip with Eco Dive Grenada for snorklers and divers to Flamingo Bay and the Underwater Sculpture Park. Both sites are very close to each other.

Starting from Grand Anse Beach, the boat ride was only about 20 minutes. At each snorkeling/ dive site we had about one hour time, which is plenty in my opintion.

Flamingo Bay

This bay is inside the marine protected are of Grenada and thus offers a richer underwater marine life than other sites at Grenada's shore.

Underwater Sculpture Park

The Molinere Underwater Sculpture Park is a collection of ecological underwater contemporary art. This park was opened in 2006 as the first one of its kind. I was a bit sceptical about having artifical elements in the water. But I must say I enjoyed the snorkeling. It was fascinating to find and approach  each new sculpture. They are each about 50 meters apart so that you are not able to see the others culptures from you current location.
